  1. Stephen Robert Baker

My name is Stephen Baker, 64 years old and a respectable member of my community. I wish to make a complaint towards 1 of your store managers from the Balcatta branch Errindale Rd on the Tuesday 1st of September 2024 aprox 10am .
Reason: total and unjustifiable humiliation and embarrassment.
I had a toilet emergency and went into your store to use the toilet which was in the reception area with no sign saying no public allowed and the manager stopped me to ask if he could help me and I asked politely if I could use the toilet as I had an emergency and at first he refused me, he then proceeded to complain to me about how he was tired of having the public using the toilet etc etc, I basically had to beg to use it while standing there like a child being told off by his mother, and he said yes but still complaining and not showing any empathy what so ever. I finished my business, making sure everything was clean and went outside to say thank you and sorry, but no, the manager proceeded to berate me still and asking what did I do, which I was embarrassed to say and then he asked me to clean the toilet with a wet wipe packet and a paper towel and said “I don’t want any germs around”, which I did for him and left.
I am from the country, and I am ashamed to say that this country is going to pot, it was totally Un Australian, I am part of the volunteer services in my community plus an Army reservist (ret), and I have never seen that kind of disrespect.
This kind of behavior should NEVER have happened, and I would like this to be reported to your managing director and the state regional manager for them to discuss. If I don’t receive any satisfaction I will be taking it further. I am sure the rest of our country would like see what’s happening so we can take a good look in the mirror.
