Hi it’s very disappointed the they managed the gym at emerald hills am a member l have pay the money to access the gym on several occasions when came the door was not working l couldn’t get access l have reported the the gym the said some issues with the door who will take the responsibility of the customer or staff bad management l want get be compensated for that several occasions l couldn’t do my exercise l had enough whether you take it serious now or investigate on this l want compensate or a credit otherwise it will be on current affairs l paid the money to used the gym not for contribution

  2. Hi Plus fitness

    In July, I registered at Plus Fitness in Thornleigh upon my friend’s recommendation. When I signed up, I discussed with the manager, Chris, that I was planning to switch to a Fitness Passport membership after a few months. Based on the condition that I would be able to make this switch later, I proceeded with the contract.

    For the past few months, I have truly enjoyed working out at Plus Fitness Thornleigh and living a healthier and happier life. Two weeks ago, I approached the manager, Chris with my friend, the manager at Thornleigh, to discuss the process of changing my membership to Fitness Passport, as I had planned. He advised me to first register with Fitness Passport and bring him my membership card number once it was issued, and he would make the change for me.

    Following his advice, I completed my Fitness Passport registration and brought him my membership card as requested. However, upon reviewing the system, Chris informed me that since I am on a Power Membership plan, I am not eligible to switch. As a result, I am now paying for both memberships, which is unfair.

    I am feeling extremely upset, frustrated, and stressed about this situation, as I believe I was misled during the initial registration. I am seeking assistance from the Head Office to resolve this matter promptly.
    My friend who recommended the plus fitness was with me when I registered at Thornleigh plus fitness and discussed to switch to Fitness passport with the manager. She could be my true witness.

    Hello Plus Fitness,

    I was previously a member of the Kelso branch in the central west region of NSW.

    I had joined the gym with my partner at the time who later on became a perpetrator of domestic violence and abuse resulting in actual bodily harm, threats, stalking and intimidation.
    This matter is still being deal with by the police and I am in regular contact with Detectives and the ODPP.

    I contacted and communicated my circumstances to the staff and acting manager at the time and requested to cancel my membership due to personal safety and concerns under these extreme circumstances, however I was advised that I was not able to exit my membership, with only a few months remaining, not even under such extreme conditions.

    I find the lack of concern or ability to deal with the matter appalling and extremely concerning when a company with over $30 million dollars in revenue is unable to provide assistance in such a circumstance over the mere amount of $336.15.
    I find this utterly disgraceful, upon other matters that I will not indulge in.

    May I put forth this question, rhetorically, is this how victims of domestic violence across Australia can expect to be treated if they were a member of Plus Fitness, a “fitness community”.
